ARA Labs is a New York-based startup company that specializes in using digital advertisement screens on ride-share vehicles and street corners. The company provides a platform for advertisers to reach their target audiences through high-resolution screens that display dynamic, eye-catching content. ARA Labs aims to create a new medium for advertising that is both effective and environmentally friendly, as the screens are powered by renewable energy sources. By utilizing the latest technologies and creative content, ARA Labs aims to revolutionize the way businesses advertise and connect with their customers.
At Gamma 3D, we were able to help ARA Labs, a digital advertisement company, adopt low volume parts for their ever-changing proprietary hardware. ARA Labs requested a quote for 200-part order quantity, which Gamma 3D evaluated and cost modeled on the same day. The quote was significantly less than competing AM services, and was approved and invoiced to ARA Labs. The production was started using 3 Prusa MK3+ systems, and with optimized build settings, the systems were producing 1 sensor cover every 25 minutes on average. Each printer produced 32 covers per build, with zero scrap components and 100% yield. The order was delivered within 5 days of being placed, and Gamma 3D outperformed all competing AM companies in price and lead time. Gamma 3D provides customers with more flexibility in their supply chains, shorter lead times, and significantly lower part costs due to proprietary optimization, build strategy, automation, and print yield from in-house systems. In this case, Gamma 3D's parts were 58.7% cheaper than the closest quoted vendor, providing significant opportunity cost savings to ARA Labs.
